It is with great pleasure that we can announce the reopening of Milton Keynes Chess Club. From Thursday the 7th of October 2021, over the board face to face chess can once again be played in the Hub at the Open University.

A list of COVID-19 precaution requirements for all attendees of Milton Keynes Chess Club can be found on this Information page. It is important that you read this page before attending a club night.

If you are a paid up member of the club and a current member of the English Chess Federation, you are invited to join one of the teams we will be fielding in the forthcoming Bedfordshire League competition. Bedfordshire League matches will start in November and run through to April/May 2022.

We are also looking for players to take part in the Cordon Trophy team rapidplay tournament, to be played at Bedford Chess Club on the evening of Thursday the 28th of October 2021.

Also coming up is the East Anglian Patrick Ribbands Memorial Club Championship event. This is a long play tournament for teams of four players with a rate of play of game in 60 minutes plus a 10 second increment on every move. It will take place in Bury St Edmunds between 10:00 and 17:00 on Sunday the 14th of November 2021.

Whatever your standard of play, if you would like to compete in any of these events please send us a message via our Contact page as soon as possible.
