The Chess Club is now closed for the holiday period until Thursday, 8th January, 2009. From this date our new venue will be the Cafe in the Berrill Building. The Berrill Building is the first, prominent, building on your right as you come onto the main site through the East Gatehouse. There is a small amount of visitor parking in front of the reception area and substantial East Parking on the perimeter fence. On the map below the, brown, Central Walkway passes through the Berrill Cafe at its eastern extremity, where refreshment and information signs are also shown. The equipment owned by the Chess Club is being moved to a cupboard in the cafe area, and keys will be available to officers from 8th January. Other clubs in the Bedfordshire League are also being informed of this change of venue, which arises because of substantial re-building work to the Catering Hub (former Refectory).
